Background

Arkadiusz has been building data systems since 2011. His work spans cloud data warehouse migrations, greenfield warehouse design and production AI systems, across aviation, insurance, transport and fintech. Enterprise data engineering work has been delivered for Aviva and Cuvva (insurance), Transport for London and Arriva Group (transport), Capitalise.com (fintech), UPS (logistics), BRE Group (engineering) and, via the technology consultancy CodiLime, further engagements. Aviation work is delivered under NDA.

Client names are kept confidential under NDA; the case studies on this site describe the shape of the work rather than individual engagements. They include a multi-quarter migration of HR datasets to Snowflake, dbt and Airflow for a major aviation enterprise, a three-year build of a fintech's first centralised cloud data warehouse on Amazon Redshift, and a multi-billion-record geospatial warehouse migration with zero downtime.

What he works on

  • Cloud data warehouse migration — legacy Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server and PostgreSQL to Snowflake, Amazon Redshift or Google BigQuery. See Snowflake migration and Oracle to Snowflake migration.
  • Data warehouse and lakehouse design — Kimball, Data Vault and hybrid bitemporal approaches.
  • AI and machine learning systems — production ML pipelines, signal computation and real-time inference.
  • Agentic AI and automation — Claude Code workflows, MCP server integration and custom agent systems.

Products he builds

  • Nestis.cloud — compliance-first SaaS infrastructure for regulated intermediaries, selected as a 2026 EEC Startup Challenge semi-finalist in the 4TECH category.
  • Straitsmonitor.com — commodity flow intelligence platform with real-time vessel monitoring, energy demand signals and computed indices for trading desks.
  • Infundum.io — synthetic banking data with built-in compliance artefacts (DORA, BCBS 239, CRD VI).

How he works

AK-DataGeek takes one or two engagements at a time, with senior, hands-on delivery throughout. Work is AI-augmented — Claude Code, MCP servers and custom agents — but no code ships unreviewed: every commit goes through human review and every architectural decision lives in an ADR. Working languages are English and Polish. Engagements are remote-first across Poland, the United Kingdom, Germany and the wider European Union.

Writing

Arkadiusz writes long-form field notes on the AK-DataGeek blog: the Oracle to Snowflake migration playbook, bitemporal data modeling, Claude Code in production data engineering, Hermes Agent in production, and, in Polish, an analysis of the kolejka magazynów energii w Polsce.
